For ordinary or clear glass windows, as much as 75 percent of UVA can pass through. Reflective and tinted glass, on the other hand, gives you more protection, but they still allow up to 25 percent of this damaging UV ray to enter your home.
The best way to protect your skin from UVA is to make some upgrades to your windows. Fit them with either reflective or tinted glass, and to further reduce the amount of radiation entering your home, cover them with aesthetically-enhancing window treatments, such as blinds.
